Enable Media Player DVD Playback in Windows 2000

This tweak will allow you to play DVD movies using Windows media player. Just follow these steps:

1. Open the Registry and look for this string:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings

2. Right-click in the right pane and select 'New->String Value'
3. Name the String Value 'EnableDVDUI'
4. Set the value at 'Yes'
5. Close regedit and reboot your system

Now you can insert a DVD into your DVD-Rom drive, then open Windows Media player and click on 'File->Open DVD'.
